Enhance Your Appearance
Cosmetic injectable treatments are a great way to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Dr. Cabin uses injections to block the signals from nerves to the muscles to prevent contraction that causes deep wrinkles.
While these treatments were initially used primarily for wrinkles, doctors have found more uses for injectables to help you feel your best. Injectable treatments can improve your appearance, but they also help with migraines, excessive sweating, and more.
Cometic injectables directly reduce dynamic wrinkles that occur with facial expression and movement. But injectables are also preventative – by softening muscle movement and thus preventing reinforcement, the “etched-in” wrinkles that occur with aging can be reversed and prevented.
Dr. Cabin employs a micro-aliquot approach to cosmetic injectables, using smaller amounts across more targeted areas. This technique leads to the most natural reduction of dynamic wrinkles and effective, long-term prevention of etched-in lines.
Injectables can narrow the lower face, creating a more aesthetic “heart-shaped” or “V-shaped” relationship to the cheek. By safely shrinking the masseter muscles – large muscles that add bulk to the jaw – the lower face can be dramatically narrowed. Dr. Cabin is an expert in this procedure, targeting injectables safely and comfortably deep within this muscle.
Many patients with a disproportionately wide lower jaw also have enlarged masseter muscles from teeth grinding or clenching, usually while sleeping.
This procedure has the added benefit of reducing the pain associated with these unconscious behaviors, frequently referred to as TMJ disorder. See below for more details.
Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Disorder leads to severe headaches radiating from the ears and the side of the head. TMJ pain is related to the repetitive force within the TMJ, generated by the masseter muscles.
The masseter muscles are our primary chewing muscles located just over the angle of the jaw. Whether related to teeth misalignment, teeth grinding or clenching, or arthritis in the joint, the pressure coming from this muscle typically exacerbates and perpetuates this pain.
Targeting cosmetic injectables to these muscles can weaken their force, thus alleviating TMJ pain for up to six months. Although dosing varies, there is generally an aesthetically pleasing narrowing of the lower face that benefits the patient.
Dr. Cabin is a world-renowned expert in interventional migraine treatment, including micro-targeted cosmetic injectable treatment. Micro-targeted migraine injectables involve diagnosing and addressing specific migraine trigger sites unique to each patient.
This technique is equally effective as traditional migraine injectables. But, as opposed to the classic protocol, targeted cosmetic injectables require fewer injection sites and a lower dose of toxin.
Using cosmetic injectables, we can treat disruptive sweating that occurs anywhere in the body – particularly in the hands, underarms, scalp, and face. Infusing micro-droplets of toxin just beneath the skin acts upon the sweat glands, dramatically reducing bothersome and untimely sweating.
Dr. Cabin is an expert in sweat-reduction injectable treatment, using cold therapy for comfort and providing maximal sweat reduction with minimal injection points.
